Dr. Candice Griffith, has a PhD from Vanderbilt University. Her field of research was risk and reliability engineering (i.e., how things fail, this includes train wheels to people). Candi specifically looked at developing a quantitative basis for human reliability to be included in formal risk assessments. She used a meta-analysis approach to combine a large pool of data that she collected. In addition, Candi has a master's degree from Vanderbilt in mechanical engineering. Her undergrad degree is in mathematics and mechanical engineering.

Candi also teaches classes in Data Mining and Predictive Analysis at the master's level.

In Candi’s nonacademic time, she is an avid reader. Candi typically reads fiction and is always looking for good book recommendations.
